WELL. Um...

[distraction]Anyways, I've been fiddling around with effects and shading, if that wasn't blatantly obvious. As long as future pages don't take me as long as this one (a week and a half), I might start adding these nice little effects from now on! Let me know what you think. Also, vote. You little cretins. >:(

Czar Squid
Some of you have already noticed, Czar Squid's run off and is nowhere to be found. He's decided to leave the internet for nobody-except-me-knows-how-long. He also deleted his DeviantArt, YouTube, and SmackJeeves page in the process. No worries, though, I have some links for those of you who want to continue following him!
First is his new blog, where he posts about all his current and future projects:
You can read about why he left in this blog post:
Finally, you can find his old comics re-uploaded here:

How to Train Your Dragon
I haven't had any movie reviews in a long time, but this movie is too damn awesome to care.

Story time. Last July at Comic Con, I went over to the Chris Sanders (creator of Lilo And Stitch) booth. They were giving out posters for this epic looking movie called "How to Train Your Dragon." I took one, of course. It just beamed awesomeness. I think it was also signed, but I can't seem to find it.

Anyway, months later, I see the awesome trailer for this movie. It was sheer epic, as one would expect from Chris Sanders. I was just like "Boy oh boy I wonder what those cool guys on the internet are saying about the movie?" So I checked online. What did I find?

"They changed so much! This movie will be horrible!"
"I saw this movie, despite the fact that it won't be in theaters for 3 months. The book was better."
"They ruined the book! I'm obviously too blinded by stupidity to realize that Chris Sanders, the shining image of greatness, is crafting a masterpiece here! GRR!"

So I'm just like "WATHAHELL!? I'MA STAB THEM!" 3 months later, the movie finally released in theaters. How was it? IT WAS ONLY THE MOST STUNNING ARRAY OF GREATNESS THAT DREAMWORKS HAS EVER RELEASED! How to Train Your Dragon immediately became a hit, sending those annoying book dweebs and Harkins (which completely underrated the movie, giving it a minimal amount of screenings in each theater) to the corner to think about their failed taste for movies and their inferiority to Chris Sanders.

Yes, I hate Harkins. I'll destroy each and every one someday with nothing but a crowbar and a hairnet.

If you haven't seen How to Train Your Dragon yet, WATCH IT. If you don't want to watch it because it doesn't follow your oh-so-special book, DROWN YOURSELF. If you're offended by any remarks I might have made about your failed assumptions, maybe now would be a good time to realize that claiming the book is better just because you read it makes you sound like an attention-seeking dirtbag, not a scholar.

So, what's the moral of the story? You obviously aren't good enough to underrate a Chris Sanders movie.

That is all.

... dayung. Here I was, hoping for - nay, expecting - some sort of epic battle. At least the shading works.

Oh, that is very shiny. Nice job on the lighting/shading.

Okay, I'm sure this is probably the stupidest excuse yet, but my mechanical pencil's broken.

I can't make comics until I get another. >.>

Are you gonna update?

SushiGummy, May 1st, 2010, 9:48 pm

Sorry, I've got the next page ready, but I haven't had the time to color it and shade it accordingly.

On the bright side, I'm working on other secret Tarson-related projects.
