Author's Notes:

SushiGummy, October 12th, 2011, 2:43 am

- Bald Guy Number 2
- Where we last left the Midget Brigade
- The comic I'm stealing this "link relevant pages" idea from.

I don't even know what a tube sock is.

In case some of you don't know yet, I've lost my plans for the bonus chapter I took requests for a while back. For that, and a few other reasons, we're redoing bonus chapter requests. So, if you haven't already, go make a new request. There's more info in the news post.

Looking for a new editor!
Since the beginning of Detective Tarson, CzarSquid's been helping me make each page look as good as a nose-less finger-less stick-eyed art style page can get. Unfortunately, though, the bars on his cage are starting to weaken, and as much as I hate to admit it, he'll probably be escaping one of these days.

So here's the thing: I'm looking for willing victims who are interested in helping me with Detective Tarson. Pretty much every job except for writing and drawing is open for takes. Page cleaning, coloring, paneling, vectorizing, special effects, shading, adding word bubbles, all this nice crap I don't like doing. If you think you can do any of the jobs here as good as or better than CzarSquid and I did on this page, send me a private message, I'll throw a few samples at you, and we can see what you're made of.

You'll also get some nice perks. You'll be able to post author comments, advertise your own comics, plus I'll fill you in on some juicy Tarson spoilers and secrets. Plus, the fewer editing jobs I have to do, the quicker the pages will roll out.

That's it for now. The next page should be up soon (maybe).

To go with what Sushigummy said; I be willing to teach anyone how to do all those things above (Shading, word bubbles, ect). The only thing I recommend before you apply is to make sure your willing to learn, have access to a decent computer, and have plenty of freetime (about 2 hours per page). If you wanted to make a comic and don't know where to start. This will give you the experience to make your own Detective Tarson by yourself.

As for why I'm bailing out of this comic. It is not because I'm lazy. Seriously, most of the work is done by Sushigummy. I'm leaving for personal reasons.

Grenos evolution, October 12th, 2011, 10:18 am

WOUHOUUUU! NEW UPDATE!!

Grenos evolution, October 12th, 2011, 10:21 am

Not experienced enough to edit, through...

Beast389395, October 12th, 2011, 4:48 pm

Thanks for updating! I love your comic! I would apply, but I am still trying to find out how to do special affects and stuff :( plus my tablet is giving me some problems :(

Czar Squid, October 12th, 2011, 5:19 pm

I use my mouse to edit most of the stuff. Your not drawing anything, just touching up on a few things.

metaishopeless, October 12th, 2011, 9:29 pm

Yay, so happy to see this update again :D

CityBreak, October 13th, 2011, 5:06 pm

I would be up for the job

Shadow Raikou, October 25th, 2011, 4:48 am

I am up for the job, However i can usually only work between 3:00-5:00 IST (+5:30). And i do not have any experience with Paint.net. I am up for gimp. The only sole reason i use paint.net is for converting .dds textures. =D

Beast389395, November 15th, 2011, 7:05 am

Gosh, I love this page :)

Beast389395, February 6th, 2012, 1:07 pm

I know your probably really busy trying to get a new author for detective tarson and stuff, and I don't expect you to anytime soon, but do you think you'll ever update comic help center again? It SUPER useful. Like I said it's fine if you don't want to, cause you're probably busy.

SushiGummy, February 7th, 2012, 9:54 pm

Oh man. Yeah, I'll try to get back to it at some point. You'll have to give me a few weeks, though.

CrippleCakes, April 7th, 2012, 10:25 am

Where has this comic been my whole life? This style of humor is addictive as hell!

Bindyfannagin, April 7th, 2012, 1:15 pm

Is this comic dead? Cause if it is that would suck.

SushiGummy, April 10th, 2012, 10:46 pm

@CrippleCakes I normally keep it in the soap drawer, it's understandable if you couldn't find it.

@Bindyfannagin Definitely not dead. It is in a bit of a hiatus, though, until I can find me a new editor.

GrovyleGoodbye125 (Guest), April 17th, 2012, 12:28 pm

:D :D :D :D i am so glad to hear that! And you don't need an editor, it's all good! :D

SushiGummy, August 6th, 2012, 4:52 am

@Rinncake Thanks! Glad you like it. Tarson will be back in action at some point, so just keep an eye out.

Beast389395, November 4th, 2012, 8:34 am

Cmon sushi, it's been a whole year!! One of the only reasons I stay on smackjeeves is because of this amazing comic!

Beast389395, November 12th, 2012, 12:47 pm

And plus, if you update I can nominate you for best comedy 2013!!!!!

SushiGummy, November 14th, 2012, 4:17 am

No worries, I'm not dead, Tarson's not dead.

I'm just busy with some pretty intense such-n-such. All will be revealed in due time.

I hope to have some sort of announcement ready by the end of the year.

Beast389395, January 24th, 2013, 9:06 pm

"I hope to have some sort of announcement ready by the end of the year."- SushiGummy
It's January 24th.
Please give some sort of update?

SushiGummy, February 19th, 2013, 10:19 am

Change of plans on that announcement. I'm still unsure as to when I'll be able to jump in again.

BuddyT, February 6th, 2014, 4:14 pm

Aw, man Detective Tarson.

I HOPE YOU RISE FROM THE GRAVE.

Czar Squid, February 7th, 2014, 11:48 am

Don't worry, Detective Tarson isn't dead. Sushigummy is caught up with a thing called 'life'. Something about college and a bucket of onions.

The big reason why he hasn't updated is because he wants to be consistent on his updates. Its no fun to start a story only to have it be interrupted prematurely before the end.

On that note, I am back for more Tarson help when he is ready. So it's on Sushigummy's end.

BuddyT, November 1st, 2014, 5:08 pm

Oh, great! Can't wait until he returns. c:
